Jeremy's First Portuguese Sermon

Saturday night Jeremy preached for the first time in Portuguese. He did excellent! Hope you can take a minute to listen. It is about a two minute clip taken from the middle of the sermon.

Sorry that it is a little difficult to understand. The building echos quite a bit, and we run fans because of the heat.

I know this didn't just happen by accident, but it is a fruit of your persistent dedication and focus on getting the language - keep it up!

  4. I just happened to run across the wall on facebook and saw this video posted. What an encouragement! The background noise made it difficult but not impossible to notice a good handle on the pronunciation. That is great. God bless you all!

  7. What a blessing! Praise God for his goodness, and God bless you for your faithfulness! You have been in our prayers since you visited our church, Clearview Baptist in Douglasville, Georgia. My boys mention you in our prayers nightly, and they still remember playing with your girls at "Monkey Joe's." Know that although we can't be with you, you have many prayer warriors reading your e-mails and praying for you continually. Ms. Esther, we are glad your health is improving :) Bro. Jeremy, amazing! God bless you all.

  8. Praise the Lord for His continued faithfulness! What a wonderful Savior we serve that He would take an American and allow him to learn Portuguese in this short period of time. We are so thankful to have you as part of our missionary team. Amen.

  9. Way to go. Learning a new language is no small task--but to preach in it. We will continue to pray for you, your family, and your mission work.

  10. Brother Jeremy, my wife and I have been praying so much for you and your family in many different ways, but especially in the area of your portuguese. So, this is a direct answer to our prayers for you. Praise God! May the Lord continue to bless your work there in Brazil. Muito bom!
