The Popsicle Man

Easter Sunday after church and lunch found the whole family outside playing and enjoying each other's company.
One of the kid's favorite place to relax lately is in our hammock on the porch.
And wouldn't you know that right in the middle of all of the fun we heard the Popsicle Man's car driving up our street!

We hadn't yet revealed this "secret" to the kids because...well, you know how smart kids are! They will always recognize the sound of his car and beg for a popsicle from here on out. He usually drives by in the middle of the kids nap time, and if we want to get them a treat we can buy some popsicles, and when the kids get up from their naps they have these popsicles that appeared out of "nowhere"!

I guess sooner or later, though, all parents want their kids to have the opportunity to join the fun, and so when the Popsicle Man's car was coming up our street on Easter Sunday, we decided that today was the day!

Jeremy gave each girl a coin, and they ran up to his car and asked for one package of popsicles. His popsicles are really cheap only $1 Real(which is about $.60) for a pack of 5. Allie and Bethany each bought a pack of popsicles and the dripping fun began--it was a very hot day!

This isn't the best video in the world. It was one of those "Hurry, grab the camera and get this on video!" type things, but I thought it was cute when Bethany discovered what she had just bought. {Jeremy had told them how to ask for the popsicles in Portuguese, and they didn't understand what they were asking for.}
And some pictures of the sweetness...

Notice the dripping down Judah's arm...such a sticky mess. :)
Bethany didn't get in the popsicle pictures for some reason, but rest assured she enjoyed hers as well!

  1. Aw! How fun! That is mighty good deal too especially compared to the overpriced ice cream trucks we have here. :) My poor kids may never get to experience the thrill. :)

  2. I love Bethany's expression when she sees the popcicles ;)That's so adorable1

  3. Such a "sweet" post! Wish I could enjoy the treat with them.
